CSCTF 2026 Rules
48 hours, online, in teams of 1 to 5, starting 6 November 2026 at 15:00 Bucharest time. The detail below may be refined before the event; the core rules stand.
Teams & Brackets
- Teams of 1 to 5 players
- Enter one age-based bracket: Juniors (under 18), Seniors (18+), or Fighters (open, biggest prizes)
- All brackets play the same challenges and the same scoreboard
- Teams are locked at competition start
Fair Play
- No sharing flags or solutions between teams
- No attacking the competition platform or other players
- No denial-of-service attacks
- No brute-forcing flag submission
Prohibited Actions
- Automated flag-submission tools
- Publishing solutions while the event is live
- Multiple or shared accounts
- Any cheating or plagiarism
Scoring
- Dynamic scoring by solve count
- First-blood bonus on first solves
- Hints reduce a challenge's points
- Ties broken by submission time
Winners & Writeups
- Top three teams must submit full writeups within 24 hours of the CTF closing
- Winners are announced 24 hours after that deadline — 48 hours after the event ends
- No podium result stands until its writeup is verified
- This protects the integrity of the result and raises the quality bar
